Dikla has earned her PhD from the Faculty of Industrial Engineering and Management, Technion, Israel, in the program of Social Sciences and Management. Her PhD concerned older employees transition to retirement. She then continued to a post-doctoral position at the Department of Psychology, Brandeis University, where she worked at the Lifespan Development Psychology lab headed by Professor Margie Lachman, mainly researching social relationships and cognivite aging.
