Background

My lab deals with two distinct research areas:

1.  The role of attention and other cognitive function in human motor performance and risk of falling- in older adults, patients with Parkinson’s disease and other neurological patients

2.  Self-management in chronic coditions, in particular in neurological patients and its relation to health outcomes. The concept of self-management in chronic conditions is gaining momentum over the world, little is known about barriers to self-management behaviors in neurological patients.  Our studies are exploring barriers and patterns of  self-management  behaviors and their associations to  health outcomes in patients with neurological conditions
