We were honored this week to have the visit of Dr. Michel Thieren, Special Representative of the WHO Regional Director to Israel, as well as Special Advisor to the WHO Regional Director for Europe on COVID-19. Dr. Thieren had a session with the International MPH students, where he spoke about the new WHO office in Israel, the importance of reciprocity in global health and the value of multilateralism.

Following this, Dr. Thieren met with Prof. Faisal Azaiza, Dean of the Faculty of Social Welfare and Health Sciences, to discuss possible collaborations with the faculty. One example is the possibility of internships for students and collaborations on thesis work or other research projects.
