Ohad Ashur (Sup. Dr. Amit baumel)
Background
Ohad Ashur completed his M.A. in Clinical Psychology at Bar-Ilan University. He completed one year of clinical internship at IAF (Israeli Air Force) as psychology officer and two years of clinical internship at AMCHA where he treated children, adults and holocaust survivals. Ohad has extensive experience at the field of
smoking cessation including personal counseling, professional team training, and cognitive behavioral intervention development. He also worked as an eHealth product manager in ‘Meuhedet’ Health Provider in Israel, developing smoking cessation mobile App for pregnant women. Nowadays Ohad works as the director of the National Smoking Cessation Quitline at The Ministry of Health in Israel.
Current Research
Ohad joined the Department for Community Mental Health at the University of Haifa as a PhD student in October 2019. His research focuses on the development of eHealth therapeutic alliance measurement, aiming to capture the user’s behavioral and experiential facets of therapeutic alliance as they unfold in the unique settings of eHealth interventions.
