Background

Limor Goldner (PhD.) is a senior lecturer at the Graduate School of Creative Arts Therapies in the Faculty of Welfare and Health Sciences at the University of Haifa. She serves as the head of the School of Creative Arts Therapies and the Sagol research and therapy laboratory’s academic consultor for children and adolescents at risk. She also serves as a member of the FAA-Emili Sagol Creative Arts Research and Innovation for Well-being Center at Chulalongkorn University (CARIW), the MyStory Consortium on Gender-Based Violence, and a COST Substitute MEMBER focusing on Multi-Sectoral Responses to Child Abuse and Neglect in Europe: Incidence and Trends. She is concentrating on studying children’s emotional and sexual abuse, the recovery processes of women who experience gender-based violence, and their manifestations in art. She has been involved in several studies funded by several foundations (Medical Corps, Social Security, the Rothschild Foundation, and the Joint-Ashalim Foundation) to detect risk-taking and suicidal behaviors, the potential of civic-engagement to promote socially excluded women and young adult development, and innovative approaches to promoting emotionally and sexually abused children and women who undergone intimate partner violence.

פרופ’ לימור גולדנר היא מטפלת באמנות מוסמכת ומדריכה. היא עומדת בראש בית הספר לטיפול באמצעות אמנויות ומשמשת כיועצת אקדמית למעבדת סגול למחקר יישומי ולטיפול בילדים ומתבגרים בסיכון. עבודתה מתרכזת בחקר טראומה והתעללות רגשית בילדים, יחסי חונכות ובתהליך ההחלמה של נשים החוות אלימות מגדרית, וביטויים האמנותיים של תהליכים אלה. היא הייתה מעורבת בסדרת מחקרים לאיתור התנהגויות נטילת סיכון, לבחינת הפוטנציאל של מחויבות ופעילות חברתית כמחוללת שינוי בחייהן של נשים מודרות מבחינה חברתית, ובפיתוח גישות חדשניות לטיפול בילדים ובנשים שעברו התעללות רגשית ומינית במסגרת קשר אינטימי. בעבר, שימשה כמנהלת ההדרכה של פרוייקט פר”ח שבמכון וייצמן ועסקה רבות בחקר חונכות. כמו כן, ריכזה את לימודי התואר השני בטיפול באמצעות אמנויות באוניברסיטת חיפה ובמכללה האקדמית החרדית ‘מבחר’ בבני ברק ובכך לקחה חלק פעיל בהתפתחות מערך הטיפול במגזר החרדי, ובהשתלבותן של נשים חרדיות בשוק התעסוקה.

Research

Limor Goldner is the Head of the School of Creative Art Therapies, University of Haifa. Limor does research on relational trauma and child maltreatment, art-based assessment, mentoring, and civic engagement. She currently works on a large project on the contribution of civic engagement and activism for young female adults, developing AI to detect child abuse and neglect as well as learning recovery processes of abused women.
