Needs and characteristics of youth and young adults mental  health -evaluating  Headspace intervention as case study

Youth and young adults are most vulnerable for developing mental illness, and present the highest prevalence of mental illness outbreaks. However, that agegroup shows the lowest service use patterns.

In addition to that, mental health services  in Israel today lack a suited  model  designed to answer the needs of  young people (12-25) reporting  emotional distress or a reduction  in mental health. The  “Headspace”  program designed to bridge this gap by offering psychological services and general health services to young people was developed in Australia, and has been implemented since January 2015 in Israel. The study will characterize the needs of this population of young people receiving rehabilitation services,  evaluate the cultural adaptations  of the  “headspace- Israel” program and assessits outcomes  for clients and their families and.
