Current Research:

Topic of doctoral thesis: Effects of chronic and acute stress on central auditory function. Stress is a psycho-physiological phenomenon exhibited in response to external stimulation perceived as a threat. Though stress is an inseparable part of modern life, it may become damaging when it is experienced at high intensity, chronically or in addition to other pathological conditions affecting the individual. The research aims to examine the effect of both chronic and acute stress on central auditory function (e.g: EEG, Speech in Noise, Binaural hearing).

 

Interests:

Emotional stress, ERP, Brain activity and connectivity, Speech and language disorders treatment, Evidence based practice.
