10.     MISCELLANEOUS

I have been involved in gerontological research for the last 25 years.  Upon completion of my Master’s degree I went to the United States with my family, where my husband completed his post-doctoral work and I devoted completely to research.  During the years I stayed in the States I succeeded to become a central person in the area of gerontological research in long-term care and mental health.  In 1991 I started my Doctoral Sciences, which I conducted while still working full time and raising my family.  Despite the great effort invested in working, and studying simultaneously, I graduated with a perfect A grade.  During my Sciences I continued publishing, attending conferences and being an active researcher, including being the Acting Director of the Research Institute of the Hebrew Home of Greater Washington during 1994 - 1995.
