Joan S. Geiger, Certified Professional Ergonomist (Isr). DPT, MOccH, BPT
My background in physical therapy and movement and lengthy experience in healthcare have brought me to understand the importance of ergonomics in providing a healthy workplace. I promote occupational ergonomics in Israel through my teaching in academia and in healthcare, through participation in public and advisory committees, as well as private consulting.
I serve as ergonomic consultant to the National Institute of Occupational Insurance, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, the Manof Fund and other public institutions.
I currently serve as Chairperson of the Israeli Ergonomics and Human Factors Association.
My goal is to see my students, fellow healthcare workers and coworkers implementing ergonomic programs in worksites throughout Israel.
